The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice is raising funds to run a hospice to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Can you help?

The hospice provides a home from home environment for the children and gives respite (short breaks) to their families from the constant worry of providing 24-hour care.

Having to look after a terminally ill child puts enormous strain on family life. Holidays, family activities and outings become a thing of the past. Parents rarely get any time to themselves while brothers and sisters can feel left out.

Families feel isolated, alone and afraid of what the future will hold. That’s when a children’s hospice can make such a difference.

At any one time there are up to 1,500 children with life-limiting medical conditions living in the area to be served by the hospice.

The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice includes rooms for children and visiting families, medical treatment, advice and counselling.

This care is available at no cost to the families who use the hospice, but the annual running costs have to be raised from charitable fundraising and donations.

The Children’s Hospice is in Hampton, Middlesex and serves the western half of London and North Surrey.

You can help to raise vital funds for the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, by taking part in this exciting event. Being part of our team will really make a difference, not only by raising sponsorship, but also helping to raise the profile of the Charity.
