St Raphael's offers the special skills of Hospice care to those facing life-threatening illness living in Merton and Sutton.

The service is completely free of charge, providing high quality medical and nursing skills, and support to family and friends. St Raphael’s fully recognises and respects cultural, ethnic and religious differences and patients of all faiths or none, are welcome.

Medical, nursing and support staff do everything possible to relieve pain and sustain quality of life in an atmosphere of peace and comfort. Hospice care is tailored to individual needs including skilled medical care; care at home or in the Hospice; a day centre; spiritual support; respite care to give carers a break; counselling.

It costs nearly £3.5 million each year to keep the Hospice running - although we receive £1 million from the NHS, the remaining £2.5 million a year has to be raised through charitable donations, fundraising and legacies
