Join our Do Something Crazy Challenge for the National
Childbirth Trust's 50th Anniversary. With your help we can reach out to
all parents in the UK, offering them support and researched information.
The
National Childbirth
Trust
aims to help all parents enjoy an experience of pregnancy, birth and
early parenthood which enriches their lives and gives them confidence in
being a parent.
The charity pays for the training of specialist workers
such as antenatal teachers, breastfeeding councillors, postnatal
leaders to help parents in your local community. The charity also
campaigns on behalf of parents, ensuring that the government and
corporate organisations are aware of maternity and paternity rights
including maternity and paternity leave and breastfeeding in public.
The NCT is currently working on a campaign for families to have access
to better birth environments where they can experience labour in a
stress free, clean and safe environment. By taking part in one of these
challenges you are helping families in your local community, no matter
their background, by ensuring they have access to support during that
important new role as a parent.
