The Children’s Fund
The Children’s Fund is a special fund held by Barts and The London Charity.  Its purpose is to raise essential funds for the Children’s Hospital to provide additional life-saving equipment, fund vital research and help to ensure that the children in our care get the best treatment possible.

Barts and The London Children’s Hospital
With 150 acute beds across 10 dedicated children’s wards, Barts and The London is one of the largest children’s hospitals in London. The Children’s Hospital is a general hospital for the inner east London boroughs and the City, and a regional and national centre of excellence for a number of medical conditions and treatments.  Each year, we care for around 45,000 children between the ages of 0 to 18, including some of the most seriously ill children in London

The Critical Care Appeal – Help us Brighten their days
Our current priority is to raise £360,000 to enable the Children’s Hospital to set up a new, bigger, dedicated Children’s Intensive Care Unit and to improve the environment of our Children’s A & E.

Here are some examples of what the money you raise can help us to buy:

£60,000         A fully equipped Intensive Care Bed

£49,500         Interior design for Paediatric A&E into themed areas

£25,000         Emergency transport pack for critical care children

£8,000          Defibrillator to help restore a child’s heartbeat

£3,000          Sensory play equipment

£2,350          Listening post for parents (CD’s with translated information)

Alternatively you can choose to restrict your donation to a particular Children’s ward or Service.

Thank you for your interest and support.
